Palm Springs Wedding: Nikkie + Dicky

Where do I begin…

Dicky contacted me a few years ago to photograph ‘The proposal’ at the Lighthouse in Palm Beach, Sydney.

Of course I was down for the job, I hid in the bushes and captured it all, Nikkie said ‘YES!’ There was a sparkling ring, an incredible sunset, kisses and champagne.

Fast forward a year or so and it was time to plan the wedding. Dicky called me from the USA, adamant that I was going to be their wedding photographer. Then we faced the challenge of finding a date that suited us all. It was not looking good. Dicky, being one of the most positive people I’ve ever met said “Look, we will lock in our date which you are already booked for and hopefully the couple who have booked you will change their date.” That had never happened before…

Then it happened.

Within a day I had a flight booked to Los Angeles and was shooting their wedding in Palm Springs. Woo hoo!

Nikkie, Dicky, their families and friends made me feel so welcome. I stayed with them for four days in the desert and it was one of the greatest parties I’ve ever attended.

It went a little something like this…

2015: A year in review

What a year, 38 weddings down and 1 to go on New Years Eve. This year my true highlight was becoming a Dad, but in and around all that parenting stuff I shot beautiful weddings for incredible couples all over Sydney, The Hunter Valley, The Southern Highlands, Byron Bay, The South Coast, Positano, Tuscany, Santorini, Thredbo, The Blue Mountains and even New Jersey. When I look back over what I’ve captured in one year it blows my mind.

Thanks to everyone who puts their trust in me to capture such special moments of their lives. I’m pretty damn lucky!

Check out a more extensive collection of my years highlights over here.

Santorini Wedding: Ali + Paul

Paul moved to Australia from England and wooed Ali at work. They now call London home.

This super chilled couple fell in love, then fell in love with Santorini on their first visit, so it was always going to be where they held their wedding.

After shooting this incredible day, I too want to keep going back!

A year in review: 2014

Wow, what an incredible year that was!

2014 saw me travel to Canada, USA, Bali, Thailand, Fiji, New Zealand and all over Australia, photographing weddings, people, landscapes and everything in between.

Bring on 2015, I’m going to become a Dad! I’m the Best-man at one of my best mates weddings (bit nervous for the speech) and I get to shoot incredible weddings for awesome couples all over the world again! (Including Italy, Greece and the USA!) Woo hoo!

Here’s a selection of my favourite moments from the year just past…
