I take photos, I pretty much always have.
I never knew where this hobby was headed – like most 17 year olds, I didn't have any sort of plan besides finishing high school, other than becoming a professional basketball player. I’m pretty sure I agreed to shoot a wedding for a mate. Then came another, then another.
Now here we are. I’ve now documented more than 800 weddings since way back then in 1999. Luckily, I loved it because the basketball thing kind of didn’t work out. It doesn’t help when you stop growing at 5ft 8.
My career has just kind of evolved, always through word of mouth. It's crazy where this wedding photographer thing has taken me. I've been lucky enough to shoot weddings and engagements in Fiji, Palm Springs, Phuket, Koh Samui, Santorini, Tuscany, Positano, New Jersey (twice), Bali and Los Angeles. And of course, I’ve captured hundreds of amazing celebrations right here in this incredible country I call home, Australia (in case you’re wondering.) It's been a pretty wild ride and I love it.
I believe it's the people that make the wedding. Sure, an epic sunset or cliff top doesn’t hurt. But if you’re getting married with a tiny budget, under a tent in a paddock with no decorations and you're in love and smiling, your wedding and photos are going to rock!
If my photography resonates with you, then I would love to be there to tell the story of your wedding day.
By the way, that's my beautiful little daughter Lily over there to the right >
